The Nevada 1st PAC was founded in 2020 to independently support the candidacy of Dr. Fred Simon, MD, of Gardnerville who was running for the Republican nomination for Governor of Nevada. One of the highlights of the political action committee was the sponsoring and production of the Las Vegas Covid Summit at the Ahern Hotel in Las Vegas where the PAC brought together conservative candidates and the leading medical authorities on the COVID virus and COVID treatments. We were proud to bring together the following speakers for the event
The Nevada 1st PAC was a leader in bringing honest medical science to the public about the COVID virus and available treatments.
Members of the Nevada 1st political action committee were very concerned about efforts at the national level by radical progressives to push dissonant theories on sex, gender, and race into the Douglas County School District under Superintendent Keith Lewis The PAC had been alerted by Douglas County School Board employees that certain inappropriate sexual materials were being offered in Douglas School Libraries and that Critical Race Theory was being promoted to teachers in their professional development classes. Critical Race Theory is a radical progressive ideology that was formulated and promulgated by far leftist education professionals in Academia. It posits that America is inherently racist, that whites are oppressors and that all other races are oppressed. This is diametrically opposed to our traditions of color blindness and judging all persons on the basis of their character, not their skin color.
The PAC decided to get involved to independently elect conservative candidates to the Douglas County School Board and we were successful in electing three conservatives to the DCSD Board.
The Nevada 1st political action committee is continuing to support our school board candidates and will be gearing up for the elections for the school board in November of 2024 where four school board members will be elected. The PAC has already identified conservative candidates to run for these seats and we need your support to put them over the top.
The PAC is also involved in the Douglas County citizens initiative that will be on the ballot in Nov 2024 that will limit Vacation Home Rentals in Tahoe to specific designated areas and not in residential neighborhoods. Douglas County home owners in Tahoe have made their views crystal clear that they do not want disruptive VHRs in their residential neighborhoods.
Last, we need to support Ken Gray, our conservative local Assemblyman at the Nevada State legislature who was voted the conservative newcomer of the year by the Republican Caucus.
